Yaldei School


Yaldei School is a private school that is recognized and subsidized in the public interest by the ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur.

We serve students aged 4 to 15 with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders with intellectual disability. These students may or may not have associated physical disabilities.

Instruction is offered only in English.

Schedule of classes

Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Our school offers a ratio of one teacher for each class and one educator for every 2-3 students. We also have a trans disciplinary team of therapists available to offer complementary services in addition to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sport.Speech, Occupational, Physio, Music and Art therapy classes are given weekly in each class.

The classroom follows a schedule, much as any regular school. The students have snack time, lunchtime, recess, free play, structured activities, as well as one on one work periods. Each of the students begins the year with an individual education plan which is re-evaluated with parents and professionals each term of the year . Each of the students has specific classroom and therapy goals which are worked on a daily basis.

  • Inform your local school board that you are applying for admission to Yaldei School
  • Apply for a Certificate of Eligibility for Instruction in English, if you do not already have one.
  • Complete and provide the following documents when available
  • Psychological and Professional evaluation, IEP’s and report cards if your child was in another school
