Camp Yaldei’s mission is to provide a fun, nurturing, non-competitive and structured environment that allows children with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a residential camp experience and to develop the social, emotional and physical skills required for them to become the best that they can be.
Campers are encouraged to try new experiences in order to gain self-confidence, learn cooperation and communication, and increase personal independence in a safe and fun environment. Our focus is on individual growth through accomplishing a variety of goals at levels specific to each individual's needs, capabilities and potential.
The children enjoy all the same activities as
their typical peers: swimming, water sports, boating, arts & crafts, drama, baking, music, nature trails, day trips and theme days.

A Vocational Summer Program for Young Adults with Special Needs
Camp Yaldei is pleased to introduce a new program for summer 2010! At EFSHAR, young adults will be responsible for a range of jobs throughout the camp. They will receive the training, development and supervision necessary to fulfill their commitments, all with the goal of helping them develop into productive working members of the community. With a 1:1 camper to counselor ratio as well as the support of specialty staff, educators and therapists, you can rest assured that your child will be in good hands!
Our rigorous screening and selection process provides the children with a team of counselors and specialists with a strong background in special education and a passion for providing each camper with an incredible summer camping experience.
An amazing Jewish experience!
Camp Yaldei is Quebec's first Jewish sleep away summer camp for children with special needs. The camp is open to boys & girls ages 5 and older.
The Jewish environment is an integral part of the children’s daily activities. Each child is encouraged to achieve his or her personal best while developing friendships within the camp community.
