Schedule of classes

Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Our school offers a ratio 1:3 for each classroom. Each specialized education teacher is supported by a minimum of two qualified teaching assistants. We also have a trans-disciplinary team of therapists who offer complementary services in addition to the three Ministry of Education curriculums: CASP, IDP, and QEP. Speech, Occupational, Physiotherapy, Music and Art therapy classes are given weekly in each class. Individual therapies are provided when requested by the therapists and school director.

The classroom follows a schedule, much as any regular school. The students have snack time, lunchtime, recess, free play, structured activities, as well as one on one work periods. Our focus is on academics, communication and social interaction, safety and security, and independent living skills. Each of the students begins the year with an individualized education plan which is re-evaluated with parents and professionals three times a year. Each of the students has specific classroom and therapy goals which are worked on a daily basis.

A school visit can be arranged on request, contact Sarah Ohana at 514 279-3666 ext. 220.
